“ Super nice staff, clean, and amazing food. Best soul food I had in waco thus far in my 2 years of living here! Chicken waffles, catfish basket, oxtails and chicken fried steak was amazing!!! I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the food it was that good! Omg I will be back in the near future. Prices weren't crazy over priced either!! ”

They have daily lunch specials, but you gotta get there early or they will be out of it! (I think it's that good.) Portions are generous enough to leave with some food, even if you eat in. I was introduced to the owner and let her know I sent my friend three soul food restaurants to choose from for me because she is from Waco. She told me not to go anywhere else but here. She said her Mother loves the catfish. I definitely see why. All of my food was on point. Then you have found the right spot my friend! Feels like you're eating at your grandmother's house. And you can truly feel the love and care put into every single item on your plate. “ Don't miss out on this spot. Decided to stop in and try some home made goodness. Wow! When we seen our plates we were already impressed. Big servings, Fresh, Hot, Mouth Watering & Delicious. The Chicken Fried Steak was tender, juicy, crisp and just enough gravy. The Mac and cheese was cheesy and delicious. I had the cabbage and greens mix for my veg and it was so fresh and tasty without being overcooked. The pork chops were well seasoned, tender and crispy. I also opted for the basket of short ribs which were crispy and tender, very good bite. The fries were crisp and fresh served with 2 pieces of crisp buttery toast. The service was nice, fast as well as a nice cozy atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal as well as my wife. We will be back. We have to try the rest of the menu ”
